Rachel McAdams staat op de cover van magazine terwijl ze melk aan het afkolven is

Geloof ons: als je net een kind op de wereld hebt gezet, zien je dagen er niet zo glamorous uit. Naarmate je kleintje ouder wordt, heb je weer meer tijd voor jezelf en wordt je weer een beetje de oude. Rachel McAdams beviel een tijdje geleden van haar eerste kindje en ging al snel weer aan het werk.

Zes maanden na de bevalling was een shoot gepland voor het blad Girls, Girls, Girls en de actrice gaf op dat moment borstvoeding aan haar zoontje. Dat betekende dus dat ze tijdens de fotosessie regelmatig haar kind moest aanleggen én moest kolven. Wiens idee het was, zijn de dames (Rachel en fotografe Claire Rothstein) het niet over eens, maar wel wisten ze dat het geweldig zou zijn om gehuld in Versace met Bulgari diamanten om, een foto te nemen van het kolfproces. 

Vrijwel niemand ziet er zo uit tijdens het kolven maar het idee achter het beeld was om borstvoeding te 'normaliseren' aangezien er anno 2018 nog steeds een hoop mensen zijn die vinden dat het niet oké is om te zien dat borsten van vrouwen hiervoor te gebruiken zijn.

A million reasons why I wanted to post this picture. Obviously #rachelmcadams looks incredible and was quite literally the dream to work with but also this shoot was about 6 months post her giving birth to her son, so between shots she was expressing/pumping as still breastfeeding. We had a mutual appreciation disagreement about who’s idea it was to take this picture but I’m still sure it was hers which makes me love her even more. Breastfeeding is the most normal thing in the world and I can’t for the life of me imagine why or how it is ever frowned upon or scared of. I don’t even think it needs explaining but just wanted to put this out there, as if it even changes one person’s perception of something so natural, so normal, so amazing then that’s great. Besides she’s wearing Versace and @bulgariofficial diamonds and is just fucking major.
