Bad News! Parijse concept store Colette gaat sluiten

Elk modemeisje kent Colette, de concept store in Parijs en eigenlijk de coolste plek van de modestad. Na twintig jaar is het moment gekomen voor Colette en de deuren voor goed te sluiten.

Saint Laurent kan het niet over het hart verkrijgen dat Colette straks niet langer bestaat. Een merk waarmee Saint Laurent in het verleden vaak heeft samengewerkt. Het Franse modehuis is dan ook in overleg gegaan om de mogelijkheden te bekijken de winkel op Saint-Honoré over te nemen.

“As all good things must come to an end, after 20 wonderful years, Colette should be closing its doors on December 20 of this year," zei het bedrijf in een officiële statement. "Colette Roussaux has reached the time when she would like to take her time; and Colette cannot exist without Colette."

In 1997 werd Colette opgericht door Colette Roussaux en werd de afgelopen jaren geleid door haar dochter Sarah Andelman. Het was dan ook Sarah die vanochtend het nieuws via het Instagramaccount van Colette deelde met de wereld.

Op 20 december zal Colette haar deuren sluiten.

 

Toutes les bonnes choses ont une fin. Après vingt années exceptionnelles, colette devrait définitivement fermer ses portes le 20 décembre prochain. Colette Roussaux arrive à l'âge où il est temps de prendre son temps ; or, colette ne peut exister sans Colette.
